Martin Payne is a officer in the RAF Regiment
and is based at RAF Honington in Suffolk. Alhough he has only recently completed
TRIMIX training he has been diving for 22 years and has extensive deep air
diving experience mainly on wrecks in the United Kingdom, particularly off
the south coast where he was part of the team that discovered HMS Warrior
and HMS Boadicea in the early eighties. Since joining the RAF in 1984 he
has lead numerous service diving expeditions, the most recent being in July,
when he lead a 10 man joint service team to dive wrecks sunk during the
Narvik campaign in Norway during WWII. |
