Learnt to dive whilst deployed for 6mths to
Belize, in 1993, at the Adventure training centre on St Georges Caye. Continued
diving in Belize going down the PADI path to advanced open water. Whilst
back in the UK crossed over to BSAC worked upto Dive Leader/Club Instructor.
Became a Royal Navy Ships Diver in 1994 and then in 1995/6 qualified upto
TRIMIX through TDI. I have concentrated on wrecks and deep diving being
it on air or mixed gas. Now use TRIMIX for all dives below 35msw. Most memorable
dives have been the Blue Hole and Hol Chan Marine reserve in Belize. The
wreck of, HMS Hampshire off the Orkney's and unfurling the ensign on HMS
Royal Oak in 1998, have been the strong points of my UK diving. But close
behind are the numerous wrecks off the Scottish East Coast. |
